Kayla Neves is a Canadian actor, director, and writer. Before beginning her acting career, she studied at, and is now a graduate of Niagara College's Acting for Film and Digital Media program. As an actor, Kayla has credits in The Summer I Met Sophie, When Olive Returned, Battle of the Sisters, as well as Promises and What If Something Goes Wrong?, two films she also wrote and directed for her own production company, Neves Productions. Her short film, Promises led her to earn her first awards as a filmmaker, winning Best Romance Short Film at the Couch Film Festival. At the RUSH Youth Film Festival, Promises won Best Drama and Kayla was also nominated for 'Best Performance in a Lead Role' for her performance in the film.
Growing up in Brampton, Ontario, Kayla discovered her passion for acting throughout her time in elementary school. From that moment onwards, she knew she wanted to pursue an acting career. During her time at Niagara College, Kayla studied the Meisner Technique with Lori Ravensborg and Stephanie Jones. She also studied commercial voice with Christian Potenza and basic stunt training with Edward Queffelec. She is also a mezzo soprano and enjoys singing and studied voice with Barbara Mantini while at college.
Kayla looks forward to stepping into the industry full time and making a name for herself.
